YOU ARE WHAT YOU READ!

  • There are lotsa stuff that I like to read. Most of it, of course, is not on the net. But some stuff is there to find when you can't find it anywhere in non-grepable form. Like The UNABOMBER letter to The New York Time s and The Washington Post for example. Boy, is that a good one...

  • Dark Horse is one of the best companies in the comics business, with great titles such as Grendel, Sin City, Concrete, Triple X, and Cross.

  • Comixographies... that is bios on many of my fave comix authors, such as Dan Clowes, Chester Brown, Joe Matt and Grant Morrison.

  • Mike Diana was jailed and charged with obscenity for his comic book Boiled Angel. Here's an account. And here's a nother from the great ezine brian. Frankly, the whole ruckus makes me wanna puke on those fucking moralists. They are always the same. Jello Biafra was right.

  • The ETEXT Archives is also an invaluable source of good readables... nothing much more to say.

  • William S. Burroughs InterNetWebZone is where to get the goods on Papa Burr, Mista Junky himself. Burroughs really is one of the most influential writers of the post WWII era, and o ne of the funnest to read as well! Burroughs has affected bands, music, movies, lines of thought. PLus he met Bukowski on one occasion.

  • Atomic Books "Literary Finds for Mutated Minds"- the BEST mail order stuff! Books on cult films, torture, drugz, true crime, comics, conspiracy, mayhem, feminism... U know the score.
Another great place for picking up tha good printed stuff is at desert moon periodicals' XINES page. Go check. They have every mag you ever wanted to have! Promise!

  • Feral House is da greatest! Have ya read Apocalypse Culture? Or the new Cult Rapture? Cult rapture is even more X-treme! Is that wholesome bread for the starving youth, or what? In it, editor Adam Parfrey deals with the weird and horrific Keane paintings, known from Fantagraphic's Birdland commix, as well as Elvis the Pelvis, porn, sex cult of cripples, female necrophiliacs, SWAT teams, and other Goodz.
Other books from FH includes the illustrious CAD: A Handbook for Heels (my goodness!) and Anton Szandor LaVey's Devil's Notebook. Do or mutherfokkin' die!
  • Similar books can be ordered from IllumiNet Press, who have great titles on everything conspiracy-related, magick-related stuff, UFOs etc. Go there.

  • The American Survival Guide Salvo is a political, anarchistical on-line George, but much better looking and with much more interesting views. And yeah, it is the work of the MASTERS behind the Big Gun Project and Crash Site! The fucking most creative ppl on the net, by far! I am in awe, compadres!

  • The superbo Funhouse ezine!
If Funhouse was a paper 'zine i would'a bought every single issue! Its style is slightly reminiscent of the defunct Chemical Imbalance, but it is somewhat more 'full'. Topix in it have been Russ Meyer, biker exploitation movies, Lou Reed , George Clinton, Kiss, Dario Argento, Mario Bava, a Pez dispenser biography... You know the score- it totally rocks butt! Watch out for Krousher's Manual of Interrogation. MORE!
  • Then we have CRANK, another great 'zine. It is fun and important and Jim Goad speaks in ish 4. Ish 5 is pretty goddamn beautiful! Then carry on to Hypertonia World Enterprises featuring Sewer Cunt, Blood Axis, Answer Me! and a Gerald Schaeffer interview. You know that fucken mass murderer we all despise, right? Damn right.

  • Flashback is a Swedish anarchy/crime/weird/everything exiting and revolting zine. It's great! Actually, its the greatest collection of links I have EVER seen! And that means something!

Boing-Boing is a classic among electronic/cyber magazines. If you never read bOING-bOING in dead-tree form, do yourself a favour and at least read it on screen. It's good and pleasant. The pages are not as hi-tek as WiRED and shit, but they are way cooler.

  • Necro Enema Amalgamated is the bees knees, ya know! Richard Kern! THE MOST K-RAD PAGE YOU'LL EVER SEE!!!!! BASTA!

  • spiv tha way cool ezine. Hoo-ahh! Nrrd! Siitake! Zooey! Antidote!

  • |GARAGE|, the dudes that got Tim Leary turned on to the web. The he dropped out. Haw!

  • Nerdheaven & Crash Vegas is the best showcase for ShockWave & Perlscripts for cgi I ever saw! It rules supreme. And it's strange to boot!

  • Kawaii! Bjoo-tee-ful Swedish-only fanzine that 'mo gonna fuck ya up. Goodness gracious allpowerful!

  • Necro Enema Amalgamated/Blam was a li'l tip from a holmes. It's huge, it's great, it's awesome, and it plain fucking rules. Checkit, man! Dang! so disgusting and so nice.

  • Gateavisa, the foremost scandinavian Anarchist magazine, has its own webpages rooling the domain. When will the vego-anarchists of Brand ever catch up? Besides, they have a link to my main page. Where they f ound out about it? No idea.

  • Grey Areas rule. The GG Allin interview! The HackCon reviews! The smut! Flashbackish and one of the best things readable available anywhere.

  • If ya wanna feel like a coozeemoopollite, check out the Urban Desires Mag page. The latest ish has a Ramones interview, among other things. Earlier issues include features on the Red Light district of Tokyo, phot ographer Moshe Brakha and Parliament/Funkadelic. It is good & well.

  • Body Modification Ezine- the original! Ya like the fuckin smut, don'cha? Pervert! This ain't the puro smutto, though - it's arty farty piercing, fetish, scarification, branding, the works. You like it!

  • Buzznet Ezine. Beats. Pulp. Action. Inquisition. Image. Annex. Anus. Bungholio. Defecation Unit one. BPM. Argonaut. Bezoar. etc.

  • Intersect Japan - Among other interesting articles on stuff as diverse as MUDs and weed whackers, there is an article on one of my heroes, dangerous and destructive writer-actor-director "Beat" Takeshi Kitano.

  • Terminal Compromise, another great book by Winn Schwartau, author of Information Warfare, that goody goddy goodster on cyber weaponry and warfa re. Ever built a HERF gun, son?

  • The Temporary Autonomous Zone, Ontological Anarchy, Poetic Terrorism. A tract by Hakim Bey, sometimes Bill Laswell co-conspirator and one of the authors in Feral House's excellent Apocal ypse Culture anthology.
